Farm-Share: feed the hungry and support local farmers
Members of Bethany Lutheran Church in Seattle are pioneering a new program that will help feed the hungry and support local farmers. It is called CHu Farm-Share: Hand-in-Hand for Daily Bread. Community and friends will volunteers one Sunday afternoon a month on a farm in Kent. In return, six local families of need will receive free weekly baskets of farm-fresh produce from June through October.
