Some activities of the Green Team include:
- Met and planned with other Green Congregations in Racine
- Planned a "Season of Creation" worship series for the fall of 2005
- Designed and sold canvas bags to encourage the use of re-usable materials
- Expanded Emmaus' recycling program: collecting aluminum cans and placing recycling containers throughout the building
- Promoted a "adopt a plot" which encourages members to take responsibility of a particular area around the church
- Showed the video Affluenza
- Began using glass and plastic instead of paper and Styrofoam at felloship events
- Had the local power company conduct an energy audit
- Sold energy efficient light bulbs to members
- Hosted an Eco-Fair at church
- Offered ideas for simplifying our lives
- Began replacing light bulbs in the church with energy efficient bulbs
